MP: Give us a 60-second commercial about you. Single? Married? Kids?

This fabulous mother cleans, shops, cooks and shuttles around and cares for her two small children and husband in one convenient package. Wait, that doesn’t sound right – not the “fabulous” part, the “convenient package” part.

MP: Where has life taken you? College? Jobs? Travel?

I was born in Colorado, eventually graduating from CSU. Shortly thereafter, I made excellent use of my art history degree as a writer and editor for a major restaurant chain. Life has taken me to some neat places, both here and abroad.

MP: What is your current mom-mobile? What do you like best and least about it?

I drive a 2006 Nissan Murano. I love the drivability; I can spend the day in the car and not be uncomfortable. Everything fits me. I don’t have to work to get to my bag in the passenger seat, or have the driver’s seat totally cranked up just to see over the hood. I don’t like that there’s no third-row option and that my son has already broken the rear cupholder three times.

MP: What is your dream-mobile?

It has to be reliable, safe and fun to drive. It also has to look good, so gull-wing doors are a bonus.

MP: What is your favorite downtime activity?

I enjoy a good book – fiction, non-fiction, anything. Also, when the stars align and both kids nap at the same time, I might work on a painting.

MP: Can you share your tips for surviving motherhood?

It’s funny that I appear to be surviving. Taking everyone up on any offer to help has helped tremendously. No pride, ladies!

MP: What do you love about being a mom?

I love watching my kids become friends – the way my son looks out for my daughter most of the time, and how they make each other giggle. I also like motherhood as a good excuse not to take a shower every day. Sarcasm, anyone?

MP: What is your vice or weak point?

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. And ice cream. And reality television. In fact, throw all those together and we’re in business.

MP: If you could be anywhere right now besides sitting in front of the computer writing this, where would you be?

Poolside with a good book. Swimming and reading (not at the same time) could be added to the list of vices.
