Video: Mother Proof Checks Out the Lincoln MKT

Kristin Varela took a few minutes during the 2008 Detroit auto show to check out the Lincoln MKT concept and pick the brain of one of its designers, Jennifer Hewitt. With a design inspired by a feather, the MKT incorporates multiple recyclable or sustainable elements in its design, including recycled wood and plastic finishes as well as a carpet made of banana fibers (the proceeds of which benefit schools in Nepal, where the fabric is made). The MKT will also be featured at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show.
