Raising Cavemen, MommyTracked.com
Blogger Kristy Campbell is trying to raise sensitive men. “I want to raise my sons to be men I’d want my daughters to marry … strong, capable, sensitive family men. … I’m beginning to wonder if that’s possible.” As the mother of two boys, I’m not sure it is. At my house, everything – even toothbrushes and pillows—is a gun, sleeves are used as napkins and the word “fart” is said over and over again. It’s a losing battle, but one worth fighting.

The Definitive List of Chick Flicks Every Dude Should Watch, Momformation
I’ll admit it; I love a good chick flick. What I don’t love is watching it with my husband, who likes to constantly check to see if I’m tearing up at the sappy parts. Blogger Scott Adler has compiled a list of his favorite chick flicks. He includes some classics — “His Girl Friday” — and nearly every Meg Ryan-Tom Hanks film ever made.  For some reason, he also listed “The Joy Luck Club,” a movie that will reduce anyone to a puddle on the floor. I’d skip that one.

In the Shoes of Olympians’ Parents, MotherLode
My family and I have been watching the Winter Olympics nightly. My oldest son is inspired by the athletes and wants to be a speed skater, “bobcat” sledder or a snowboarder. This got me wondering just what it takes to raise an Olympian. I’m not the only one thinking about this as the games wrap up; the New York Times’ parenting blogger Lisa Belkin tackles the subject.
