How Do I Love Thee, Car?

Ways I Love My Murano Really Add Up

In honor of Valentine's Day, I'd like to write an ode to my car, a 2006 Nissan Murano. Hey, we all need love! So, how do I love thee, Murano? Let me count the ways:

1.    For never whining when you're a mess — actually, the mere fact that you never whine is a fabulous feature.

2.    For having covered cupholders and compartments.

3.    For not complaining when the kids and I rock out to Laurie Berkner, the Wiggles and Kermit the Frog.

4.    For looking stylish, even when I don't.

5.    For airbags galore and good safety ratings.

6.    For your backup camera.

7.    For your backup camera (that's how great it is — it counts twice).

8.    For being a quiet place, at least when the kids aren't there.

9.    For not telling anyone that I talk to myself.

10.    For heating up my rear end on cold days.

11.    For all the hard work you do, my dear car, I cherish you.

I don't believe Hallmark has anything to worry about. All the same, what do you love about your car?

I love thee for thy power doors and rear seat that flips to become an instant couch/changing table. And the wireless headphones that allow my kidlets to watch movies in silence. For all these, I adore thee.

To my SRX for 1.  Having the automatic starter so I don’t have to freeze my toosh off every morning 2. For the dual radio stations, so my kids can listen to Radio Disney while I listen to my jazz station (I can’t take another High School Musical song!) 3. For the automatic rear opening door, you know what it’s like to have your purse, cell phone, keys and 4 Target bags in your hands.  4. For my leather seats who don’t complain when juice gets spilled on them.  5. And lastly, for making me look awesome in a “station wagon”.  I thank thee.
