Audi Gets In Driver’s Seat With iPhone Application

Audi A4 Challenge is a Fun Driving Game

My 4-year-old daughter drove an Audi A4 today. Well, maybe not an actual A4, but she did play the Audi A4 Challenge, an iPhone application that’s a fun driving game.

The Audi A4 Challenge uses the iPhone’s motion sensor to steer a 2009 A4 through a series of race courses. Players race against the clock to beat their own personal best time. The free application is available at Apple’s iPhone Application Store.

Of course, I immediately downloaded it. It’s pretty fun, but the steering is really sensitive. I think I’m going to have to engage in some further playtime, er…research, and see if the game gets any easier when I play longer. My daughter loved it (check out her driving experience here). And who knows, she might even become a future Audi customer.

“Audi customers are smart, sophisticated and technologically savvy,” said Scott Keogh of Audi of America. (Flattery will get you everywhere, sir.) “We’re very excited to be the first automotive manufacturer to connect with our audience through the iPhone.”

As for me, I’m not pretending that I’m technologically savvy. I’m just excited that I knew about this new application before my husband did.

I found the game ridiculously hard and couldn’t get the iPhone to turn properly. Big waste of time IMO. But I didn’t have a 4 year old to entertain wink

A 4-year old home with a cold, no less!  I haven’t done anything other than progressively knock down more cones each time I try.
