365Drive Blog Documents Different Car Every Day
Mar 18 2010 by Kristin Varela
I am very curious by nature. Someone pulls up next to me at a stoplight, and I just wish I could ask her all about herself. Who is she? Where is she going? Who is she going to meet? What is she thinking about while waiting at the stoplight?
This is loosely the premise behind Lea Croteau’s blog, 365Drive. She wanted to know if she could drive a different car every day for an entire year and blog about the story behind the car and its owner.
I met Lea at my recent visit to the Bridgestone Winter Driving School in Steamboat Springs, Colo. As a professional driver and driving instructor — or Driveress, as she refers to herself — Lea is the perfect person to blend car shoptalk with a voyeuristic ride in someone else’s car, complete with photos.
Reading Lea’s blog feels almost as naughty as sneaking an episode of “Househusbands of Hollywood.” (Anyone else hot for that just-grungy-enough hubby with the Harley?)
Lea is always looking for new cars to drive and she’s always traveling for work, so drop her a line, and maybe your car’s story will be told. Just be sure to clean out anything you don’t want widely publicized. Like I said, photos are included.

I have participated with Lea in various motor sports events. Not only is she a most competent driver, but her knowledge of all things automotive is uncanny.
One of the best overall drivers I know..
Not best woman drivers, best DRIVER.
Her driving skills are so well tuned , if you think you could best her at something I dare you to challenge… and I’d then bet money on Lea.
Someone needs to give her a car to race.
She would be a strong leg in any type of driving competition, as well as knowledgable…
Just read the blog.

Too late to suggest!! I asked Lea to co-drive with me in a NASA Endurance Race last year. Here’s the link to that drive.

With three Rocky Mountain Endurance races this year (May @ HPR, July @ PPIR, Oct @ Pueblo), expect to see Lea back in the Mustang for more.

Thank you Kristin! As an instructor, racer, designer and female, I have an interesting perspective. Thanks for noticing!
