Sara's bio

Sara Lacey: bio

MP: What’s your family situation?
I’m married with two kiddos, 4 and 6. They can cause their share of ruckus.

MP: What is your current mom-mobile?
I drive a 2006 Nissan Murano. After doing this job for several years, the fact that I still like driving it should speak volumes. However, the rear cupholder hasn’t managed to magically fix itself yet. But I still like how it comfortably carries all of us in almost any situation.

MP: Do you have a favorite test-car feature?
I always enjoy ventilated seats in the summertime. The kids love any vehicle with a rear entertainment system; I’m still on the fence about that one.

MP: When you’re not driving your family around, what are you doing?
Working, people! This stuff doesn’t write itself!

MP: If you were auditioning for a TV show, what show and role would you try out for?
Liz Lemon on "30 Rock"!

MP: What’s your favorite indulgence?
Lying on the couch on a cloudy day when the house is clean, the laundry is done and the kids are at school, watching a movie guilt-free. Oh wait, you said "indulgence," not "fantasy."

MP: What do your kids love about your job?
Getting a new car every couple weeks, duh! They love to provide unsolicited commentary, which I like because it adds some nice angles to my reviews. They’ve recently revolted against the process of picking up test cars, which is OK because I can now do that when they’re both in school. Did you hear that? I said, "When they’re both in school." You know you’re jealous.

MP: What beverage lives in your cupholder?
Water or a grande cinnamon dolce latte from ’Bucks.

MP: Where was your favorite family vacation?
OhmygoshwejustwenttoSanDiegothissummeranditwasSWEEEET! That’s what my son, Liam, just said about our recent family vacation, and I must agree with him.
