Travel Wipes Warmer Wins Over Mom
May 05 2009 by Courtney Messenbaugh
I’ve always been against baby wipes warmers. Are my children’s sweet bottoms so precious that I have to heat up their wipes — even in the car? What comes after that? Buying a toilet-paper warmer (assuming either of them ever gets potty trained)? Despite my feelings, I recently put the Prince Lionheart Travel Wipes Warmer to the test.
During a huge snowstorm, my kids and I were stuck in traffic with a serious mess. My daughter had an overflowing diaper, and my son had a Fatburger that had evidently eaten him instead of the other way around. Against my better judgment, I pulled onto a side street to address the problems. Sheepishly, I have to tell you that the warm wipes were a godsend on that snowy day. Traditionally, the in-car rubdown is a struggle, but the warm wipes made it a breeze with both kids. I even used one to warm up my glove-free hands.
The warmer holds 30 wipes and has an EPA-approved additive that inhibits microorganism growth. It comes with two adaptors so you can plug it in your car or home, and it’s available in aqua, pink or mint trim. The Prince Lionheart Travel Wipes Warmer sells for $29.99.
I’m now a little fearful that I’ll have to find a toilet-paper warmer, but I should be OK since I only bust out the warm wipes during the worst situations.

so how long does it take to warm the wipes? Do you need to keep it plugged in all the time?
