Ford’s Warriors in Pink Continues to Battle Breast Cancer

Actress Pauley Perrette is a Warrior in Pink. In a public service announcement (below) this week, the “NCIS” star proudly proclaimed her support for Ford’s program, which helps fund the fight against breast cancer. At FordCares.com, you can find tons of cool Warriors in Pink gear — including Perrette’s T-shirt — and 100 percent of the gear’s net proceeds go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.
Here at MotherProof.com, we’re big fans of the Warriors in Pink campaign, which as of Thursday morning has raised $399,512. The Warriors in Pink logo is an amalgamation of symbols representing many aspects of the fight against breast cancer. The logo’s chevron is from a French word meaning “rafter” and signifies protection. The Tree of Love represents those who grow and stand tall together through adversity. The angel wings seen on the outside of the logo represent the angels who have died after their fight against breast cancer. The crowned warriors remind us that breast cancer touches the lives of both genders. Awesome.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Ford is making it easy to support the fight against this killer. Tonight, Lincoln dealerships across the nation are having a soiree and will donate $20 to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation when you complete a test drive. If you already have plans tonight (lucky you!), you can still get in on the test-driving fun. Through Dec. 31, Ford will donate $20 to the foundation when you complete a test drive.
