MP: Give us a 60-second commercial about you. Single? Married? Kids?

I am a working mom originally from Seattle. I am happily married to my college sweetheart. After eight years of dating we were married in 2001 and have spent four happy years together. We just had our first child in August and love every moment of her.

MP: Where has life taken you? College? Jobs? Travel?

I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a B.A. in marketing and finance and a minor in economics. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to become a collegiate leadership consultant for my sorority right out of college. I was able to travel around the United States for a year. I found my way to Arizona for 18 months of planning different events and meetings. Currently, I’m loving living in Colorado and working as a meeting planner for a well-known company.

MP: What is your current mom-mobile? What do you like best and least about it?

I drive a Nissan Pathfinder and love everything about it. After having our baby girl, we realized we needed a bigger car to support our activities and dog. We love to go camping and Jet Ski-ing and needed a bigger car to accommodate this.

MP: What is your dream-mobile?

I really don’t have a dream car. I just like a car that works with my lifestyle. Of course, I have my favorite brands, but that will be my little secret.

MP: What is your favorite downtime activity?

I love kickboxing and working out. This is my time to be by myself and let loose.

MP: Can you share your tips for surviving motherhood?

Patience has been key to surviving these first couple of months. Also, I find working out an essential ingredient.

MP: What do you love about being a mom?

I love everything about being a mom, even the poooooopy diapers. They’re not my favorite thing, but I’m willing to do anything for my little girl.

MP: What is your vice or weak point?

I love to shop, so if you ask my husband, that is my vice. I just picked up scrapbooking and enjoy buying all the stuff that goes along with it.

MP: If you could be anywhere right now besides sitting in front of the computer writing this, where would you be?

I would love to be traveling different parts of the world, learning about different cultures, preferably on a cruse ship that stops at warm, sandy ports of interest. Someday I hope to take our children with us so they can learn and see all the worldly possibilities in their reach!
