2009 Lincoln MKS AWD - 12/03/08
MSRP: $38,490 - $40,380 | MPG: 23 Hwy, 17 CityDetails: 5 Seats, 2 Rows, 2 Latch Connectors
This isn’t a car that was designed with moms in mind. The 2009 Lincoln MKS is geared toward a slightly older, more urbane demographic; so I tempered my mom-centric attitude and ultimately enjoyed my ride in what could eventually become an urbane legend.

2008 Nissan Sentra 2.0 SL - 10/23/08
MSRP: $16,140 - $20,570 | MPG: 29 Hwy, 25 CityDetails: 5 Seats, 2 Rows, 2 Latch Connectors
The 2008 Nissan Sentra is a small sedan, and most trims fit into the under-$20,000 category. The Sentra is the sensible shoes of the Nissan lineup; it’s everything you need, plus a little style at an affordable price.
I never truly understood the meaning of the term “easy street” until I got behind the wheel of a Lexus ES 350.

2008 Volkswagen Passat Lux - 10/10/08
MSRP: $23,990 - $39,200 | MPG: 24 Hwy, 21 CityDetails: 5 Seats, 2 Rows, 2 Latch Connectors
When the 2008 Volkswagen Passat rolled into my driveway, I had no idea how exciting our time together would be. From the built-in sunshades to the easy-to-use navigation system, I was very impressed with nearly everything the Passat offered.
If I’d rated the Honda Accord based on my first impression alone, I’d have given it a 10, but after more than a week of driving it, I’m really reaching to try and give it a 7.

2008 Chevrolet Malibu - 9/25/08
MSRP: $19,900 - $27,095 | MPG: 26 Hwy, 22 CityDetails: 5 Seats, 2 Rows, 3 Latch Connectors
The Malibu wasted no time in attempting to charm me: She had a beautiful red metallic paint color, the interior is full of attentive details and there are three sets of Latch connectors in the back. What more could I possibly want?

Corollas have been around forever, and my bet is that they’ll continue to be around for a long time. That’s because they’re good, solid cars, just like the 2009 Toyota Corolla I tested.

You know how on TV the future is all shiny and bright? Everything is white and silver and clean, and everything is powered by some mysterious force that makes virtually no noise, yet creates boundless energy? Well, folks, apparently the future is here.

The 2009 Mitsubishi Galant Ralliart is a confused car. Like people, cars also need to know what they are with a cohesive identity and a clear purpose. Sadly, the Galant seems to be a schizophrenic amalgam of other cars, which left me with a major sense of “huh?”

The 2008 Acura TL Type-S didn’t rock my world. While the car performed relatively well, there were too many things that disqualified it from being my perfect mommy-mobile.
