Oh, the Jaguar — she’ll lure you in. You’ll fall prey to her luxurious leather, walnut veneers and chrome accents. You’ll love the sound and feel of the shifter when you put the car into gear. You’ll surrender to features like ventilated seats, especially in the heat of summer.

Your children will adore the backseat of the Super V8; there’s plenty of room to sprawl. There’s a fantastic center console that not only houses beverages and snacks, but also the controls for the two separate rear entertainment systems. Yep — DVD, audio and auxiliary inputs are all accepted in the Jag. No more fights or issues over who gets to watch what. Well, at least not when the screens are working, which mine weren’t, even though we could hear the movie. But my kids forgot all about “The Lion King” when they found the buttons for the power rear seats.

You’ll love the accessibility of the Latch connectors. You’ll also love the seat belt buckles that are easy for your kids to use. Your kids will love the window shades and the trays that fold down in the backseat, much like that on an airplane. They’ll actually want to do their homework in the car. Hey, whatever it takes, right? You’ll love the plush, plush carpet, and you’ll protect it with all your might from spills and goldfish crackers, right? Right? Wait, where did you go?

You might not love all the buttons, but they’re pretty easy to use and labeled clearly, so that helps. The touch-screen was also simple and easy to use (yes!). The Super V8’s power windows merit the creation of a new award: the MotherProof.com Quietest Power Window Award. They’re silent, my friends. The interior is so quiet overall that it seals your little Goldenblatts from the rest of the world.
