Volvo Says ‘Sensual’; What Do You Say?
Volvo announced Wednesday that it’s adding a hot little SUV to its lineup. The XC60 looks beautiful in the photos Volvo released Wednesday, and it will be fun to hear the response it gets when it’s unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March. It’s just too bad we won’t have a Mother Proofer on hand in Geneva to report from the floor. Darn shame, isn’t it? Sad that we won’t be able to experience first-hand the shivers this new vehicle would surely send down our spines…
Ah well, Volvo’s made sure that those of us who won’t see the XC60 in person for a while yet can still understand just how proud it is of this new vehicle.
“This car is charged with more emotive form and more energy than any other Volvo,” Volvo design director Steve Mattin said in a statement. “We’re elevating our design DNA to an entirely new level by literally turning up the visual volume.”
That sounds pretty darn exciting, especially coming from those reserved Swedes. The headline on the press release actually says the XC60 is its “most sensual Volvo ever.”
OK, to get in on the XC60 fun, let’s do a little word association game. I say “sensual Volvo,” and you say the first thing that comes to your mind in the comments section below. Ready … go!

“Volvo” and “hot” in the same sentence? i mean, this looks somewhat less boxy-frumpy than previous Volvos but ...
as much as i don’t like SUV’s in general, i think that the Infiniti EX or Acura RDX give me much more of a “fun” aura

Infiniti has a more fun aura, yes. I’ll totally give you that one. But the Acura RDX? I’m not saying it’s not hot, it just has a more boxy look than the XC60. I’m don’t think anyone wants to be more boxy than a Volvo.

guess i just drink a different cup of tea ... maybe i need to see it in person? like how people say the new WRX looks better in person ...
Indeed, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I haven’t seen the WRX in person yet either… if I do I’ll let you know!
