Honda Civic, Accord Top List of 2007’s Most Stolen Cars
By: Sara Lacey
Just days after MotherProof.com posted our list of hot cars for moms, the National Insurance Crime Bureau released its own list of hot wheels – its annual report on the most stolen cars for 2007. I always expect it to be full of exotic and expensive cars, but Lamborghini owners can rest easy. But Honda owners might want to invest in a car alarm. The national results are:
1. 1995 Honda Civic
2. 1991 Honda Accord
3. 1989 Toyota Camry
4. 1997 Ford F-150
5. 1994 Chevrolet C/K 1500
6. 1994 Acura Integra
7. 2004 Dodge Ram
8. 1994 Nissan Sentra
9. 1988 Toyota Pickup
10. 2007 Toyota Corolla
The national findings are interesting, but I had fun to look up my state’s most-stolen vehicles’ list and comparing it to other states’ lists. The swankiest car was a 1999 Cadillac DeVille (No. 9 in Arkansas) but the oddest contributions were the Honda TRX, an ATV, (No. 10 in Mississippi and Nos. 6 and 9 in West Virginia) and the Bombardier Ski Doo, a snowmobile (tied for 10th place with the 2005 Dodge Caravan in Vermont).
Moms in Washington D.C., Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin should hold onto their minivans; the Dodge Caravan was the No. 1 most-stolen vehicle in those areas last year. Who says minivans aren’t hot?

Amen, my friend! What would you steal? I mean, not that you’d do anything like that…right?
I’m pretty sure they’re stealing the cars for parts. Boring, but apparently, profitable. Of course, as I’m no mechanic, I’d just steal a whole Q7 and call it a day. But that’s me…

Someone told me how the 1995 Honda Civic was the number one stolen car in the country and I didn’t believe them. Had to come here and see for myself.
Yes the Honda Civic is a good little car, but if I was going to steal a car I’d be looking for something a bit more fun to drive.
