One day you won’t let them drive, the next thing you know they’re living in your basement and sneaking off with your Social Security check. Instead, you and your little Marco Andretti or Danica Patrick can attend a Driver’s Edge half-day clinic.

As a mother of a 14-year-old, I am keenly aware of the barrage of dangers that are out in the world awaiting him. One that concerns me most is the problem of underage drinking and driving. DaimlerChrysler and Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) have teamed up with a nationwide exhibit featuring photographs of people affected by teenage drinking and driving.

It’s so empowering learning that my car and I can handle tricky and potentially dangerous situations. I find new respect for myself as a driver. All day, I’m pushing the car and myself and learning more and more. Amazing!
