Organic Wipes Wipe Away Competition

Giovanni Towelettes Are Sweet-Smelling Multitaskers
I’ve found it! I found an all-purpose wet wipe that smells good, really good, and it’s biodegradable, too. I stumbled upon Giovanni Organic Biodegradable Towelettes while perusing the aisles of my local Whole Foods. I was searching for an organic wet wipe to stash in my kids’ lunch boxes (they attend a pretty crunchy school), but when I read the packaging, “Car not as fresh as you’d like? Freshen up with a swipe at the vent,” I was sold. No, my car isn’t as fresh as I’d like, and I don’t know any parent on the planet whose car is.
Close your eyes and imagine, if you would, a single product packaged in a flat little 2-by-2-inch square that can clean your car’s dashboard, sanitize the steering wheel of a rental car, kill germs lurking on your child’s car seat belt buckle or remove that nasty gas smell from your hands after fueling up. Imagine that this same product could tone and moisturize your face, deter insects from biting your babies, soothe spots that have already been bitten by bugs or sunburned, clean your baby’s bottom on the go, scent your clothes in the dryer, add aromatherapy to your bath tub and more. And what if it were completely organic and 100 percent biodegradable?
I’m not maliciously teasing you, this product actually exists. These lovely little soft-as-cashmere multitaskers come in Lavender Calm, Grapefruit Splash and Peppermint Surge scents. But I’d be careful with the peppermint version around young children, they impart a refreshing tingly sensation that was fabulous for me but not so for my babes.
Just to make sure I was covering my bases, I also tested out a comparison model: Desert Essence Cleansing Towelettes with organically grown essential oils in a “refreshing scent.” The test was over well before it began. Opening the Desert Essence Towelettes package immediately filled my home with the smell of gas station restroom cleaning solution. No thanks, I’ll stick with Giovanni’s towelettes. They’re pricey, $11.99 for 20, but totally worth it for busy moms on the go. I’m going to stash these in my car, purse, suitcase and anywhere else I can think of. Love them!

I love how the big pouch the wipes come in has a ziplock on it, keeping the wipey packets wrangled.
