Democrats Hog All of Colorado’s Limos During Convention

It’s a Good Thing the DNC Didn’t Happen During Prom
Denver’s residents are experiencing a wave of panic: The city is almost out of limos. That’s right, Ms. Fancypants, because of the Democratic National Convention, you probably won’t be chauffeured around this week for your bachelorette party, girls’ night out or whatever else you were planning to do in a neon-light-filled bar (keep it to yourself, please).
“We are simply running out of cars,” Gene Cookenboo, president of the Limousine Association of Colorado and owner of Presidential Limousine, told 9News.com. Demand is high for the limos; Colorado has 271 limo companies, and each has one to three limousines. The limo companies are expected to make 125 runs a day during the convention, Cookenboo said. On average, Colorado limo companies do about 80 runs a day.
On the plus side, the DNC is pouring $500,000 into the local limousine industry. I don’t know how many proms it takes to generate that kind of income, but that’s a lot of rented tuxedos and dyed shoes!

Their carbon footprint just went up big time.
