2009 Honda Pilot Makes Me Eat Mud
Dallas is a far cry from Detroit, where I first encountered the 2009 Honda Pilot. I hate to bring the word up, but when I first saw the Honda Pilot I was kind of … bitter. It was all amped up on steroids with an angular design aesthetic, which was not what I was anticipating. So I was really hoping that Honda would make it up to me with a smooth ride and comfortable interior.
It’s rare of me to reverse a first impression, but Honda delivered. The 2009 Pilot is comfortable for a family; a very accessible and comfortable third row still exists, and there are a total of four sets of Latch connectors. (I’ll say it again: 4 SETS OF LATCH CONNECTORS.) It also has tether anchors in all six rear passenger seats. It’s about time, Automotive World! And to Honda in particular, thank you!
The abundance of interior storage is brilliant, with padded, grippy cubbies everywhere, and cupholders galore. I still don’t think it’s the most attractive or distinctive car out there, but the interior made me forget about the exterior’s visual shortcomings.

Pilot seems a good car with six sits and with fuel-saving technology. I like Honda's vehicles

We lease an 06 Pilot and love it. When our is lease is up in about a year, I'm not sure I could get beyond the look of the front end to lease this new one. Ugly! The rest looks fine, but that front end... what are they thinking?! Big step backwards in the looks department!

we had a CR-V and Honda tried to make us pay for a $1000+ valve adjustment defect. (A LOT of owners actually DID pay it) So we vowed never to buy another Honda. Good thing too, because the CX9 we bought is every bit as safe, and otherwise totally superior to the Pilot

I first saw the Pilot in the New York Auto Show and was not as shocked as I thought I would be. It does look like a new Nissan Pathfinder, kinda boxy but not all the way(at least it doesn't look like the Honda Element). You know what its a Honda and Hondas are the best. Hondas are reliable, affordable, comfortable, and are just great to drive and after taking a sneak peak inside the pilot at the auto show I knew it was going to be good because Mazda CX-9, Toyota Highlander may be pretty outside but they sure lack the quality of interior and safety features that Honda carries. I would buy the Pilot because is affordable, low maintenance cost, reliable , safe, and its a Honda.
