Several Discovery Models Have Safety Hazard

As one of our very own Mother Proofers is embarking on a search for a new car seat, we’ve been reminded how important it is to check the safety of the products we consider for our kids. Sometimes, though, even the most diligent research doesn’t uncover everything, and that’s why it’s vital that you pay attention even after products are purchased to make sure they don’t face any recalls.

Evenflo issued a recall this week of its Discovery infant car seats produced between April 2005 and January of this year. According to the company’s statement, the seat can become detached from the base in high-impact side-collision lab testing. If you own a Discovery infant car seat model 390, 391, 534 or 552, call 1-800-356-2229 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. EST to order a fastener that will remedy this problem. Consumers will not be charged for the fastener. Go here for more details.
