I wish there were a quantitative way to measure the job I do as a parent. I would love to pinpoint the exact moments in time when I’ve made a positive difference in my kids’ lives. Maybe this could be measured much like OnStar tracks calls at its command center in Detroit. Giant graphic screens and maps show what types of calls are coming in, where they’re coming from and how they’re handled.
