I love water sports and that means piles of neoprene including wetsuits, booties, and gloves at my house. I admit that I am a fan of this functional synthetic material, knowing firsthand that it keeps me warm in nippy weather, and makes any crash a whole lot less painful. Did you know it also keeps the jellyfish from having their way with you? Needless to say, Jetset Baby’s line of neoprene goodies for families on the move peaks my curiosity.
I love Jetset’s Tidy Bib; it looks good and does not take up much space. It has a small lip to catch all the nasty discarded food (or whatever else might find its way “back up”), and cleans up easily. Bingo! In the past I’ve traveled with plastic bibs, but due to their feel, both of my children figured out immediately how to tear off the offending guards. So imagine my joy, when I spend a whole day on the go, with my toddler wearing the bib and acting perfectly content with it as our travel companion. Like me, he apparently thinks neoprene is A-OK. It cleverly fastens with velcro on the front side, near the collarbone. I can easily remove it, without subjecting my child to neck-stretch exercises. I can rub the bib clean, unlike cotton bibs, which turn gross when any sort of food is involved. Those cotton bibs stain and are banished to the useless bottom drawer; not the Tidy Bib.
Jetset Baby’s Thirsty Tote and Double Thirsty Tote are super-practical, insulated bottle holders that snap onto a stroller or any other number of things (like backpacks). Typically, my kids get water but today I pack milk for our outing to test this insulated creation. I find that the milk stays cool for the better part of the day; not bad for such a simple, collapsible bag. The thing I like most is that the neoprene absorbs the milk leaking from my son’s leak-proof (yeah, right!) sippy cup. I avoid a big disgusting mess, which would otherwise take place in my diaper bag. Yippee!
Last but not least, when I am touring about with just one babe, I get to use the second partition of the Double Thirsty Tote for me, myself and I. Wow, did I just say that? My chilled spring water actually stays chilled – what a refreshing sip. Mmmm now, that’s just what I needed; so much better than the lukewarm variety. My toddler also enjoys toting the Thirsty Tote as his little stuff sack, keeping him entertained for minutes on end. YES!
Jetset Baby offers these travel accessories in two fun color combinations of pink with orange, and blue with aqua. They keep my children and me happy while out-and-about, and are simple to store when not in use. Now that’s the concept I’m after when en route!
